RCA

Royal College of Art
The RCA needed a game-changing solution – a new digital experience worthy of the institution’s prestige and the talent it draws. Thanks to the RCA’s bold new digital home, applications rose by 164% and course page views were up by 557%

Ask
RCA required a new website, their old one wasn't drawing the attention of the creatives they want to enrol. They needed a full redesign by updating their brand and flowing it into strong functional page designs that showcase degree programs and boost interest and applications.

Response

A key part of the RCA brand is the exposed grid lines that the layout is based upon. This transparency brings the user into the world of creative thinking.

UI Designs.

The components are designed and built in blocks so the client can create new pages through the CMS. All components are made so the vertical page flow and rhythm isn't interrupted when they are combined in different combinations.

The site was made to be highly responsive, any design mistakes would have been clear given the exposed grid. Attention to detail was essential.
